2007 Tuesday Cellars no. 11, Columbia Valley

Meet our new favorite wine! Joseph Miglino, the winemaker for Martedi wines, stopped by to taste us on his first commercial release, and we think we may have found a rising star here! His style is distinct and restrained; the wine is concentrated and masculine with great structure, but approachable and doesn't hit you over the head with either fruit or oak. It opens with plenty of blackberry and cassis, and then rounds it out with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and pencil shavings. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Syrah.
